Our Treatment Team
Crossroads
Centre employs an international team of highly skilled and
dedicated professionals from around the world. This greatly
contributes to our ability to treat international clients with a
cultural sensitivity and awareness that is unique to Crossroads
Centre. Master’s level Social workers, Certified Addiction
Counsellors make up our counselling team. We employ a full-time Spiritual Counsellor who is available to meet with any client interested in exploring his/her spirituality and how this relates to their ongoing recovery.
Our medical staff is comprised of experienced physicians and registered nurses. Together they manage all physical health services within the treatment setting including detoxification and general medicine issues.
Certified fitness instructors, a nutritionist, massage therapists and yoga instructors work collaboratively with our clinical and medical staff to provide a highly individualized and multidisciplinary approach to treatment and aftercare planning.
Psychiatric services are available for consultation when required and recommended by the Treatment Team.
Treatment Team Meetings
Our entire treatment team meets weekly to review the progress of each client currently in treatment. During this time team members review and discuss a number of treatment related issues including, but not limited to: medical concerns, detoxification or post detoxification issues, family involvement, referent contact, current client challenges or difficulties, areas of significant progression, mental health considerations, treatment planning and assignments, and aftercare planning.
In addition to the treatment team meeting each week, our counselling and nursing team meets twice daily to review each client’s general progress. All clinicians participate in regularly scheduled clinical supervision (both individual and group) with the Manager of Clinical Services to ensure the highest quality of care is achieved for each client.
