Please welcome Brian to the Crossroads family! Brian Ballantyne started working in the addiction field in 1982 as a primary care counsellor at Broadway Lodge, the pioneer UK addiction treatment centre. He then moved to work at Farm Place in 1990, initially as a primary counsellor, until in 1995, he developed and managed an 8 bedded second stage care facility within the company.
In 2004 and in partnership, he opened an independent 15 bedded Secondary Care facility in Surrey which he managed, as well as delivering significant clinical involvement. Running Prinsted and developing relationships with clinicians throughout the world has given him a great insight into the changing nature of addiction treatment both in the UK and abroad. Prinsted closed in April 2017 after 12 successful years.
Over the years Brian has developed a keen interest in Family work and the Process addictions, especially Co-Dependency and its powerful manifestations. His particular passion is in developing his own Spiritual practice and supporting others to achieve their goals and potentials.
Brian is a Certified Counsellor as well as a qualified Manager, achieving an RMA in 2006. He is a member of and accredited with the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals.
