Family Addiction Counseling Program Overview
Our 5-day integrated family addiction counseling program allows family members to participate in the client’s recovery, and begin their own healing with family therapy.
Families learn the skills necessary to break destructive boundaries and communication patterns. Our integrated family program includes helpful educational materials, family conferences, didactic lectures, group discussion, list work, and individualized attention.
Families learn about relationships, addiction, and about changing unhealthy or painful dynamics so that the family unit can heal together.
In order to fully heal from chemical dependency, it is crucial the family be involved in recovery.
Families and other concerned persons are welcome to attend the drug counseling for family members programme, even if your family member is not in treatment with us.
The family addiction counseling program is included in the cost paid for inpatient treatment. For families without a loved one in treatment wishing the register the cost is quite minimal and covers the outlined services.
Customized To Fit Your Needs
We admit clients based on the suitability of needs, and we assess each client to ensure the program they are in provides them with the best opportunity for success. Our programs provide effective and comprehensive levels of care that result in improved quality of life, relationships, careers and emotional and physical well-being.
Combined with our programs, we offer complementary therapies to improve the overall quality of life while promoting physical and emotional health.
Families learn about their role in client recovery, relationships, the disease of addiction, and how improving communication can greatly increase the likelihood of a lasting recovery.
We offer accommodation recommendations for those participating in our family program. Our facility boasts breathtaking views, a private swimming pool, and comfortable social areas, but space is limited. Off-site accommodations are also available at an additional cost.
Frequently Asked Questions
A family member who has a loved one in active addiction or recovery OR Anyone who wants to learn more about the disease of addiction OR Anyone who wants to resolve relationship issues involving addiction or codependency.
Loved ones of the chemically dependent person are involved in the addiction experience in much the same way as the addict / alcoholic. If we grew up in a family system where there was addiction, or other forms of dysfunction, we learned how to cope and survive at a very early age. Unknowingly, we continue to operate with these survival behaviors in present relationships until we come to realize how these responses may not be conducive to satisfying relationships. With this new understanding, we can begin to identify and make changes that can improve the quality of our life.
The presence of addiction within the family system can lead to relationship and communication breakdowns that accelerate the progression of the disease. That’s why loved ones should play a significant role in both the treatment and recovery processes.
This 5-day program combines individual and family therapy sessions with educational presentations and group discussions.
